Now more than ever, it is difficult for recruiters to assess the aptitude of potential candidates. There has been no metric or analysis created to accurately measure a candidate's capabilities in the fields of peer-learning, effective communication, and network efficiency in the virtual era...
...Until now that is!
DotsLive's new Career Development Program utilizes machine learning, data analytics, and good-old fashioned human intelligence to devise an industry-vetted scorecard based solely on the performances and interactions of each of our cohort members.
All this data not only provides us immense value we can then integrate back into our platforms, but it also ensures the recruiters that they know which candidates truly possess the qualities they are looking for.
HOW IT WORKS
Cohort members are required to create a career profile, fill out weekly surveys, participate in at least 2 live weekly sessions given by industry professionals, academic researchers, and/or career advisors on our flagship platform DotsLive, all while participating in peer discussions and evaluations during this time.
All the resulting data from the interactions of each cohort member is then collected using social network analysis and various metrics in an automated process with some human expert oversight. It formulates the scorecard that breaks down the proficiencies of each cohort member in the various skills being analyzed.
NETWORKING AND ENGAGEMENT MADE EASY
Most students and emerging professionals struggle in the areas of networking and communication, but our CDP allows them to strengthen those skills both passively and actively. We provide our cohorts with the tools and opportunities they need to develop long lasting relationships that do not end when the session is over. They have easy access to our resident industry experts who are always willing to help, as well as each other. The interactive element of our platform DotsLive also ensures that they can voice their thoughts at any time during a session and are actively being engaged and included.
EVERYONE IS A WINNER
CDP aims to create value for our stakeholders that is undeniable. We do not simply focus on how we can help recruiters benefit, but students and educational institutions as well. Our goal is to create an ecosystem where all of the aforementioned stakeholders have access to the resources, research and tools they need to be successful.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
Diversity and Inclusion training is vital for any organization of the future, meaning we have to make it a priority now. We have brought together researchers from all over the world to explore this deeply complex issue from a variety of perspectives to ensure our CDP participants will have a well-rounded outlook that goes much deeper than surface level. Our 'Diversity and Inclusion' series covers topics such as Diversity and Inclusion training basics, resource commitment, the importance of career success of minorities, and the intersectionality within both diversity and inclusion and with other fields of study such as policy making.
It is proven that younger generations have a lack of interest in politics, which is a mounting issue given the importance of being informed of the policies that ultimately shape both the present and the future. CDP participants will be encouraged to engage in discussions with researchers on the frontlines, as well as their peers about current policies and how they can be implemented to better suit the needs of society. Within our brand new "StreamScholar Public Policy" series, participants will be learning about smart policy frameworks and can actively be a part of research taking place that aims to create more inclusive and efficient solutions to policy challenges.
